87% of the voters on this 2005-2006 poll were correct as Hopkins was the 2006 Section 2AAAA champs.

The predictions made by 81% of the voters were correct on this question also.

The vast majority of voters were off on this popular question (179 votes!), but an inside source on the Miss Basketball committee said Jillian was a very close second place.

Interesting results on this question. Steele did impress Hopkins fans at the Apple Valley Winter Tournament.

The voters were listened to on this poll as Hopkins will host their own winter tournament in 2006.

As the only team to defeat Hopkins this past year, Tartan made a big impression on our poll voters. Ultimately, St. Paul Central defeated Tartan 60-59 in the 2006 section 3AAAA championship.

This question generated little interest with only 12 votes cast. Long shot Armstrong was the 2006 Section 5AAAA champs.

Hopkins did win their 5th consecutive Classic Lake title in 2006.

One of the great HS Girls basketball conferences in the state, it generated lots of votes. Kennedy proved this poll correct as they did win the Lake Conference this past year.

OK current team fans, who is going to defend Jordan Barnes, and Kaitlyn Lillemoe?  Or match the tenacity of Schwichtenberg,  Isler, and Cope? And I have not even got to Leslie Knight yet.  We have a great current team as their state championship shows, but there are some great alumna out there.

Great competitive conference with high scoring games and plenty of upsets in conference play. Champlin Park went 16-2 in conference play and won the Northwest Suburban.

Edina (20-4) was seeded #2 followed by Chaska (14-10)at #3 and Minnetonka (20-6) was awarded the 4th seed. Hopkins was seeded number one.

1AAAA was the section that Hopkins would face in the first round of the state tournament. 11% of the voters correctly predicted that Mayo would emerge victorious from the Rochester Civic Center.
